Operation Mahadev, which started after the terrorist attack on 22 April 2025 in Baisaran, Pahalgam, has finally been successful. The Indian Army and security forces killed all three terrorists in an operation that lasted for 93 days. Pahalgam In this attack in Baisaran, terrorists had targeted innocent tourists. There was an atmosphere of anger and sadness in the entire country due to this incident.
Indian Army and security agencies became active immediately after the attack. On the basis of eyewitnesses and technical information, three terrorists were identified, who were associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba.
After this Operation Mahadev was started. First of all, the escape routes of the terrorists were closed and a search operation was conducted in the entire area.
Investigation revealed that the terrorists were hiding in the dense forests of Dachigam after passing through the hilly areas of South Kashmir. This area is extremely difficult and dense, which made the operation challenging.
Seeing the danger, the army increased the scope of the operation and also included paraspecial forces. Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and other agencies together conducted continuous operations.
With the help of drones, cameras and other modern technology, the terrorists were monitored and gradually they were surrounded. The operation reached its decisive phase on 10 July 2025. Security forces surrounded the entire area and confined the terrorists in a limited area.
On July 28, 2025, the team of Paraspecial Forces reached the terrorists after walking for about 10 hours through difficult hilly roads. In the encounter that followed, all three terrorists were killed. Operation Mahadev is a great example of the courage and strategy of the Indian Army. This operation shows that those conspiring against the country will not be spared under any circumstances.
