Approximately 11.23 lakh candidates appeared for the session 2 examinations this year, while around 11.06 lakh students had been awaiting the Paper 1 results of the April session.

Cut off for JEE advanced 2026

The qualifying cutoff for inclusion in the JEE Advanced 2026 rank list is expected to be around 10 to 12 percent in aggregate for the general category, with lower thresholds for reserved categories. To be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026, candidates must be among the top 2.5 lakh rank holders in JEE Main 2026. The expected cutoff percentile stands at around 93.3 for general, 80.7 for OBC-NCL, and 61.3 for SC.

• General (UR): around 10 to 12 percent, approximately 36 to 43 marks out of 360
• OBC-NCL: around 8 to 10 percent, approximately 29 to 36 marks
• SC, ST, PwD: around 5 to 6 percent, approximately 18 to 22 marks

JEE main 2026 expected cutoff to qualify for advanced

• General: 93.2 to 95.0 percentile
• OBC-NCL: 79.4 to 81.5 percentile
• EWS: 80.3 to 82.5 percentile
• SC: 60.0 to 64.0 percentile
• ST: 46.6 to 49.0 percentile

These figures are estimates based on previous trends. The official cutoffs will be decided by IIT Delhi, the organising body for 2026, taking into account the difficulty level of the examination and overall candidate performance.

JEE Main Result 2026 Toppers Name

Kabeer Chhillar from Rajasthan, listed as AIR 1 in JEE Main 2026 Session 1, scored a perfect 300 out of 300 raw marks and trained at a coaching institute in Kota. He is among only two candidates, alongside Pasala Mohith from Andhra Pradesh, who have been confirmed to achieve a full 300/300 in Session 1 of JEE Main 2026.

With the combined rank list set to be released after the Session 2 results, Chhillar’s final All India Rank will be confirmed after taking into account the Session 2 scores of all candidates who appeared in both sessions.
