Another player has been ruled out of the IPL 2026 season due to injury. Chennai Super Kings, already troubled by injuries to many players, now have to deal with the injury of their young batsman Ayush Mhatre. Ayush has been ruled out of the entire tournament due to the injury he suffered in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Now CSK will have to choose another player in his place. But meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin has said something which has created a stir. If this happens then an RCB player can become a part of Chennai in the middle of the season.

Even before the start of the IPL 2026 season, many players are out due to injury. Chennai Super Kings It is one of the teams most affected by this, whose 3 players are completely out, while MS Dhoni is also not fully fit yet. Apart from Chennai, many franchises are also facing this problem and are looking for replacement. But amidst all this, Ashwin has given a special suggestion regarding replacement.

Ashwin gave amazing suggestion

Shortly after the news of Ayush Mhatre being out of IPL 2026 came out, Ashwin made a post on social media and reminded him of the 'loan rule' in the middle of the IPL season. Talking about this, he took the names of two young players, one of whom is RCB's Vihaan Malhotra. Ashwin wrote in his post, "So many are getting injured. The loan window will close after the 7th match and in such a situation, it is a good idea to take this great talent of RCB on loan."

Ashwin further wrote, "He has not played a single match yet and hence is a possible option. If not Vihaan, then Abhigyan Kundu is also a good left-handed option, who can be groomed for the future."

What is the loan rule of IPL?

The loan option that Ashwin has talked about has been going on in the IPL for the last few seasons. Under this, during the first few matches of the season, if needed, any team can take a player from another franchise on loan for the remaining part of that season. But it has some conditions. Only that player can be transferred on loan, who has not played any match in the season. Also, that player cannot play against his main team in that season.

Let us tell you that Vihaan and Abhigyan were part of the Indian team that recently won the Under-19 World Cup. Both of them were in this team along with Ayush and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who are already playing in IPL. Although Vihaan was bought by RCB at the base price of Rs 30 lakh, but till now he has not got a chance to play even a single match. Whereas Abhigyan did not find any buyer in the auction.
