Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone on Sunday announced that she is pregnant with her second child. This comes after 1.5 years of her delivering her first child, Dua. She welcomed Dua on 8 September 2014, and now, in 2026, she will welcome baby no. 2. The actor has since then paused work commitments and vowed not to work over 8 hours, and in this process many big-banner films have pulled back, with Deepika losing out on big and major projects. However, this hasn't deterred her from slaying and serving professional and personal goals.

This marks Deepika's first appearance following her pregnancy announcement.

The shoot was reportedly for a maternity brand campaign that Deepika has taken on following her pregnancy announcement.

However, apart from congratulatory messages from all across the world from Deepu's fans, a controversy erupted as Alia Bhatt, who is married to Ranbir Kapoor, ex of Deepika Padukone, coincidentally was seen visiting the hospital the same morning Deepika announced her pregnancy. Alia Bhatt's hospital visit was met with negative comments, with fans saying that even Alia wants to get pregnant with a second child after Deepika announced her pregnancy.
