Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Varanasi on a two-day tour, focusing on administrative preparedness ahead of a proposed visit by the Prime Minister. During his stay, the Chief Minister chaired a review meeting with senior administrative and police officials at the Circuit House, assessing arrangements related to logistics, security, and coordination.

Following the meeting, he visited prominent religious sites in the city, including the Kal Bhairav Temple often referred to as ‘Kashi Kotwal’ and the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, where he offered prayers. Such visits are customary during official tours to Varanasi, which holds significant cultural and religious importance.
An interaction with local residents drew attention during his temple visit. While leaving the Kal Bhairav Temple premises, the Chief Minister noticed a young girl seated at a flower vendor’s shop. He engaged in a brief conversation with her and her sister, asking about their education and encouraging them to continue their studies. He also exchanged words with their family members present at the site. The interaction, though brief, reflected a moment of informal engagement amid official duties.

Later, the Chief Minister proceeded to Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), where he conducted an on-site inspection of preparations linked to the anticipated high-level visit. Officials were directed to ensure that all necessary arrangements are completed within stipulated timelines, with an emphasis on safety and organization.

Several public representatives and officials accompanied the Chief Minister during different parts of the visit.

The visit was primarily focused on reviewing readiness and ensuring coordination among departments, as Varanasi prepares for an important official कार्यक्रम in the coming days.
