Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a scathing attack on Congress, Samajwadi Party and the entire Indi alliance. Terming these parties as ‘undemocratic’, he said that their actions are completely anti-women. The Chief Minister said these things while reacting to the uproar in Parliament and the stand of opposition parties regarding the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Act’ Amendment Bill. He clarified that while on one hand BJP is determined for the empowerment of women, on the other hand the opposition is creating hurdles in every development plan.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing the ‘Jan Aakrosh Mahila Padyatra’ organized in Lucknow. He said that today there is anger in the entire country against the opposition conspiracy to obstruct the Nari Shakti Vandan Act Amendment Bill and drop the motion in the House. In continuation of this protest, the mother power of Uttar Pradesh has opened a front against the anti-women conduct of parties like Congress, SP, TMC and DMK. Yogi said that this large participation of women is a proof of his unwavering faith and blessings towards the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Praising the vision of Prime Minister Modi, CM Yogi said that there have been extensive changes in the country in the last 11 years. PM Modi believes that there are only four castes in the country – women, poor, youth and farmers. All the policies of the government are centered around these. The Chief Minister said that from building the infrastructure of the new India to preserving the heritage, ‘half the population’ i.e. women power is at the center of every plan. Cornering the opposition, he said that the Prime Minister had given these parties a chance to improve their anti-women image, but they misused it.
Referring to the schemes being run for women, CM Yogi said that from ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ to ‘Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana’, every step is to the dignity of women. He said that Swachh Bharat Mission is not only a campaign for cleanliness but also to protect the dignity of women. While Ayushman Bharat Yojana is providing health security to families, PM Awas Yojana is making women housewives. In UP too, schemes like Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana and mass marriage are taking the respect and safety of women to new heights.
During this padyatra, many senior leaders including BJP State President and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak also addressed. Everyone said in one voice that the opposition has always ignored women’s issues. During this, Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel and Rajya Sabha member Arun Singh were also present, who reiterated BJP’s resolve for the rights of mother power.
