Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is coming under fire for his controversial remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Election Commission of India has taken seriously Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a 'terrorist' and has issued a notice to Kharge. The Commission has asked Mallikarjun Kharge to explain his stand and reply within 24 hours in this matter. Earlier, BJP had appealed to Kharge to apologize and EC to ban such language.

Let us tell you, a BJP delegation had met the Election Commission on Wednesday. This delegation, comprising three Union ministers including Nirmala Sitharaman, had demanded from the Election Commission to take strict action against Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for his terrorist remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now the Commission has issued a notice against Kharge and sought a reply.

Speaking to reporters after the commission meeting, Sitharaman said, “Today, we appear before the entire commission to explain that no one less than the Congress president and the leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha has said such bad words.” The Finance Minister said Kharge called the Prime Minister a terrorist while addressing a press conference in Tamil Nadu, which is an election state. Due to which the Congress chief's comment became 'dishonest'.

What is the whole matter?

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge made controversial remarks on PM Modi during a press conference in Chennai. He called the Prime Minister a terrorist. However, later he also gave clarification on this. Kharge said that I want to make it clear that PM Modi always threatens. All the agencies are in their hands. They use it to intimidate people. I never said he was a terrorist. I said that they are terrorizing people.

BJP enraged by Kharge's remarks

BJP is enraged by this comment of Kharge. Many BJP leaders have given statements against Kharge. BJP leader Sambit Patra said, this is not only condemnable, but also shows the mentality of the Congress party. This is not a slip of the tongue. He may be giving some clarification but remember, this is a well-planned conspiracy of the Congress party. Everyday Rahul Gandhi uses abusive words against the Prime Minister in his speeches and today at the behest of Rahul, Kharge called the Prime Minister a terrorist.
