On one hand, Ranveer Singh's multi-starrer 'Dhurandhar 2' is breaking all the earning records in theatres, while on the other hand, its first part has succeeded in dominating the OTT platform Netflix. 'Dhurandhar' came on Netflix on January 30. Since then, it has continuously remained in the list of top 10 films on Netflix. Now this film has also broken the biggest record of SS Rajamouli's global hit 'RRR'.
'Dhurandhar' (Hindi) has become the most watched Indian film on global streaming platform Netflix in the first 10 weeks. This film has received 31.1 million i.e. 3 crore 11 lakh views in the first 10 weeks. With this, this spy thriller film directed by Aditya Dhar has pushed Ram Charan and Jr NTR's all-time blockbuster 'RRR' (Hindi version) to second place. 'RRR' got 30 million or 3 crore views on Netflix in the first 10 weeks.
Now Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' is at third place in terms of views, which has got 28.5 million views. At number four is Shahrukh Khan's 'Jawaan', which got 26.2 million views. Both these films have gone one step behind. The kind of craze seen in theaters regarding 'Dhurandhar 2', its first part has got the benefit on the OTT platform. Before watching Part 2, everyone wanted to watch Part 1 of the film, so the film broke all the previous records of viewership.
'Dhurandhar' and 'Dhurandhar 2' together have earned huge sums at the box office. This franchise has become India's highest grossing franchise. These two films have surprised everyone by doing a total business of more than Rs 3000 crore. The first part had done a business of Rs 1300 crore and the second part has crossed the figure of Rs 1700 crore.
Apart from Ranveer Singh, actors like Akshay Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi were seen in 'Dhurandhar'. The first part of 'Dhurandhar' was released in theaters on 5 December 2025.
