Emmerdale has confirmed Dr Todd's new victim following the birth of baby Leyla.

As fans of the ITV soap will know, Dr Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker) has been bullying trainee Jacob Sugden (Joe-Warren Plant) and making his life a misery.

Jacob finally cracked earlier this week and made an official complaint to HR, but at the same time, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) went into labour while stuck in a hospital lift with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Ross Barton (Mike Parr), who delivered the baby.

Charity agreed to be a surrogate for her granddaughter, Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), and her husband, Jacob. But following a one-night stand with Ross, Charity fell pregnant and only Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Ross know the truth about the baby's paternity.

However, after saving Charity's life, it was Dr Todd who unravelled the scandal on Wednesday (April 22) when she overheard Ross and Chas arguing over the baby while standing outside of the hospital.

Todd wasted no time informing Charity that she knew Jacob wasn't Leyla's dad and blamed the discovery on mismatched blood groups.

Charity was left shocked and tried to cover her tracks, but Todd made sure she knew Charity was lying and confirmed that neither Sarah nor Jacob is the biological parent of the tot. Before the showdown could go any further, Mackenzie interrupted their conversation, leaving Charity upset.

In forthcoming scenes, Jacob and Sarah enjoy time with Leyla, and besties Ross and Mackenzie turn up with a present for the new arrival from Moses, who is actually Leyla's brother.

It's obvious that Ross is awkward around the baby and reluctant to hold her, but Jacob insists on inviting him and Moses to their family gathering.

At work, new dad Jacob is finding working with Todd harder than ever, and back in the village, Todd revels in spending time with new housemate Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) and her pal Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker).

The three ladies all bond over a drink at The Woolpack when Mary (Louise Jameson) suggests a doubles darts match and puts Todd and Vanessa on the same team.

During the match, Todd takes the opportunity to take another swipe at Jacob and continues her horrible plan to manipulate people's opinions of Jacob.
