You can now perform mobile recharges on WhatsApp. Yes, the instant messaging app has announced a new feature, offering a significant gift to its users. Much like other UPI apps, you can now recharge your mobile number using WhatsApp. This feature has been rolled out for both Android and iOS users. It is worth noting that WhatsApp is a popular instant messaging app that offers access to a wide range of features—going beyond just chatting to include voice and video calling, among others. Furthermore, WhatsApp frequently introduces new features to provide an enhanced experience for its users. The WhatsApp Mobile Recharge feature is one of these latest additions. WhatsApp has rolled out a new Mobile Recharge feature for its users. Users can now perform mobile recharges directly through WhatsApp, eliminating the need to switch to any other external app for this purpose. As mentioned earlier, this feature has been released for both Android and iOS users. However, it is being rolled out in a phased manner, which means it may take a few more weeks to become available to all users.

Mobile Recharge Feature

WhatsApp's new mobile recharge feature is powered by PayU, enabling users to make payments and complete mobile recharges. The objective behind introducing this feature is to ensure that WhatsApp remains more than just a messaging app; it aims to allow users to easily access other digital services through the platform as well.

With this new feature, you can not only recharge your own mobile number but also recharge the mobile numbers of your friends and family members directly through WhatsApp. This new recharge feature on WhatsApp supports India's leading telecom operators, such as Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea.

1. To perform a mobile recharge via WhatsApp, you need to tap on the '₹' icon located at the top of the WhatsApp home screen.

2. Following this, a new 'Payments' screen will appear before you. 3. The 'Mobile Recharge' option will appear on this screen.

4. Click on this option.

5. Next, your contact list will appear.

6. Select the number for which you wish to perform a mobile recharge.

7. Subsequently, plan options will be displayed on the next screen. Choose the plan of your choice.

8. Now, select a payment option.
