Last week, Amazon MGM Studios gave a brief update on the next James Bond, telling everyone to be patient for now. In the meantime, the bookies' race for the next 007 continues to heat up. Harris Dickinson, who plays John Lennon in 2028's four biopics of The Beatles, has had his odds slashed from 10-1 to 7-4, making him the second favourite in the Bond odds. The 29-year-old is 6ft 2 and previously starred in The King's Man, Triangle of Sadness and Babygirl opposite Nicole Kidman.

William Hill's Lee Phelps, said: "With the successor to Daniel Craig as the next James Bond actor still up in the air, we can confirm that we took a flurry of bets for Harris Dickinson which saw the next 007 actor market temporarily suspended. As big as 10-1 at the start of the month, the The Iron Claw actor saw steady activity into 7-1 before a mass of support caused him to be cut to 6-4 second favourite. He's since eased to 7-4, behind odds-on favourite Callum Turner (5-6), but it's a significant move and with no fixed date for the announcement, there's no doubt we will see further speculation as to who steps into 007's shoes."

Behind Turner and Dickinson in the bookies' race, which should be taken with a pinch of salt, are the following: Aaron Taylor Johnson 4-1, Jacob Elordi 7-1 and Theo James 9-1.
