He remarked, "Sanju Samson was exceptional as he constructed his innings thoughtfully. He took his time initially, played with a straight bat, and respected quality deliveries, particularly against a bowler like Jasprit Bumrah. He also capitalized on loose balls effectively, demonstrating a remarkable balance between patience and aggression. His recent performances, including a century at the tournament's start and a score of 48, clearly indicate his excellent form."

The CSK bowlers, particularly the spinners, delivered an outstanding performance, restricting MI to just 104 runs in 19 overs. Noor Ahmad, Akeal Hosein, and Anshul Kamboj bowled economically, contributing significantly to CSK's 103-run victory. Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh commented on the spinners' attacking mindset, stating, "What impressed me was the intent of CSK's spinners to take wickets.
