As attractive as street pani puri looks, it can also be prepared at home in a clean and safe manner. Home made pani puri is tastier and can be made spicy-sweet according to your taste. So, how easy it is to make pani puri at home Recipe Let’s find out.

Materials:

For Puri:

  • Semolina – 1 cup
  • Flour – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – pinch
  • Water – as required
  • Oil for frying

For Panipuri Water:

  • Mint leaves – 1 cup
  • Coriander – 1 cup
  • Green Chillies – 2-3
  • Ginger – 1 small piece
  • Tamarind – 2 tbsp
  • Jaggery – 2 tbsp
  • Roasted cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Black salt – as per taste
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Cold water – 3-4 cups

 

Potato Masala:

  • Boiled potatoes – 3-4
  • Boiled kabuli chana – 1/2 cup
  • Red Chilli – 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala – 1 tsp
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Coriander – a little

Action:

  • To make puri, mix semolina, maida and salt to make a thick dough. Keep it covered for 15-20 minutes.
  • Roll the dough and cut small round puris and deep fry in hot oil until crispy.
  • To make water, finely chop mint, coriander, green chillies, ginger and tamarind in a mixer.
  • Add jaggery, cumin powder, black salt, salt and cold water to this mixture and mix well.
  • To make potato masala, mash the boiled potatoes and add chickpeas, chillies, chaat masala, salt and coriander.
  • When everything is ready, make a small hole on top of the puri and fill it with potato masala.
  • Finally add the prepared water to that puri and serve immediately.
  • Hot, spicy and refreshing Panipuri is ready at home.
