UP ATS Arrests Terrorist: The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has reportedly arrested two suspected terrorists. Noida Two suspected terrorists have been arrested on charges of working for Pakistan-linked network and ‘ISI’. After his arrest in Noida, he was produced before the ATS court in Lucknow. The court has remanded him in custody. A .32-bore pistol, five live cartridges, a knife and two mobile phones were recovered from the suspected terrorists.
According to the investigating agencies, they were preparing to carry out terrorist activities in India, the accused arrested by the ATS have been identified as Tushar Chauhan alias Hizbullah Ali Khan (Rest. Meerut) and Sameer Khan (Rest. New Delhi). According to the information revealed by the investigation, he was in touch with Pakistani gangsters Shehzad Bhatti and Abid Jat through social media. They were trying to lure Indian youth by pretending to be ISI agents.

Both these accused were in touch with Pakistani handlers through encrypted channels and conference calls. Sameer was tasked with writing ‘Tehrik-e-Taliban Hindustan’ on the walls and recruiting new people. Tusshar got in touch with Sameer through Instagram and after that the two allegedly started spying on targets.
According to the investigation, Tushar gradually became radicalized and came under the influence of social media. He was in regular contact with Pakistani handlers and even created fake accounts to impress them.
According to reports, Tushar was tasked by Shehzad Bhatti to throw grenades and carry out attacks on specific houses. He was promised Rs 50,000 initially and then Rs 2.5 lakh on completion of the work. He was also assured of a passport and transport to Pakistan via Dubai.
Investigations also suggest that alleged ISI agents Major Hameed, Major Iqbal and Major Anwar may have been part of the network, which provided targets and resources to the duo. Preliminary investigation revealed that some money and weapons were reaching the accused. Security agencies are currently conducting a thorough investigation of the entire network to identify other individuals involved in the conspiracy.
