LPG Rates: Gas Cylinder Prices Stand at ₹1,000 in Patna and ₹913 in Delhi; Check the Rates in Your City

LPG Price on April 26: As of today, the price of a standard 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder across the country remains within the range of ₹910 to ₹950. Priority in supply is currently being accorded to existing domestic customers.

LPG Cylinder Rates on April 26: Tensions between Iran and the United States persist. Consequently, people are concerned about LPG rates, fearing that prices might escalate. However, the government has stated that there is currently no shortage of gas in the country; therefore, there is no cause for panic. Meanwhile, amidst disruptions to energy supplies at the Strait of Hormuz, priority is currently being given to existing domestic customers within the country.

The government has temporarily suspended the issuance of new LPG connections. Additionally, directives have been issued mandating that LPG connections must be surrendered in areas where a Piped Natural Gas (PNG) supply is available. Regarding prices, as of today—April 26—the cost of a 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder in major Indian cities remains between ₹910 and ₹950. Separately, the prices of commercial gas cylinders have recently seen two hikes: an increase of ₹194, followed by another increase of ₹218.

Government Offers Reassurance

Meanwhile, Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary (Marketing and Oil Refineries) at the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, offered reassurance by stating that the supply of LPG, petrol, and diesel across the country is currently completely normal. Consequently, there have been no reports of distributors running out of stock. To further bolster the reliability of supply, the government has also ramped up domestic production. In light of this, citizens are advised not to place their trust in rumors.
