Zakir Khan had said during an award show regarding 'Dhurandhar' that the film industry is jealous of this film. Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel had earlier criticized comedian Zakir Khan on this statement. Now once again Ameesha Patel has given clarification on her reaction. Ameesha Patel countered Zakir Khan's claim and raised the question that how can Zakir believe that the industry is feeling any threat. Hey, at least show yourself as an achiever! At least show yourself as a superstar."
Ameesha Patel further said, "A statement was made that the industry is burning, it is becoming insecure. Did anyone call you and tell you that 'Dhurandhar has become a hit, I have become very insecure'. How do you know? Because of 'Dhurandhar', so many people have said that we need to learn. Ram Gopal Varma and many people have said that it has set a new benchmark. People appreciated the film. Have shared stories and Instagram posts praising them. Actors are working again on their films because they feel that now we have to reach a definite level and the audience is also expecting better.
The actress further asked, "Is competition bad? If we don't appreciate the competition, how will we become better? We don't want to be careless. We need someone who comes and inspires us to work harder. Then how will we feel insecure about it? It only helps us learn from it.
