New CLA Electric launched

The CLA Electric is the first model in Mercedes-Benz’s next generation of electric cars. The car is based on the company’s new MMA platform and latest MB.OS software, which will support other future models as well. An 800V electric alternator has been used in this car.

Electric cars in every segment

Mercedes-Benz is planning to launch electric cars in each of its segments. This includes both SUVs and sedans. The company’s lineup also includes models like the GLC EV and the E-Class EV. There is a huge demand for SUVs in India. In such situations, the GLC EV can be crucial. Also, the company plans to launch the C-Class EV for customers who prefer luxury sedans. Mercedes-Benz has clarified that along with electric cars, the company will continue to sell petrol and diesel models as well. In the luxury segment, people are still using electric cars as a secondary vehicle rather than as their primary vehicle. Diesel models still account for a significant share of sales in the SUV segment. Consumer decisions also depend on price, government incentives and resale value of the vehicle
