Ganga Expressway Inauguration: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the Ganga Expressway to the nation today in Hardoi. The Uttar Pradesh government is developing this project based on an "Expressway-cum-Industrial Corridor" model. Its primary objective is to integrate road infrastructure with industrial development. The Ganga Expressway has been designed as an Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster (IMLC), thereby transforming it from a mere road project into a corridor for industrial growth.
Spanning a total length of 594 kilometers, the expressway features 12 industrial nodes currently being developed along its route. Approximately 6,507 acres of land have been identified for this purpose. Each node has been designed specifically to suit its geographical location and industrial potential, with the aim of fostering increased activity in the manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics sectors.
Under this initiative, approximately 987 investment proposals have been received to date. These proposals indicate a potential investment inflow of approximately ₹46,660 crore. This investment is primarily expected to flow into manufacturing units, logistics parks, warehousing facilities, and the agro-processing sector.

Balanced Development Across 12 Districts; Hardoi Set to Emerge as a Major Hub
This corridor will directly connect 12 districts, thereby reducing regional disparities. Industrial activities are expected to accelerate significantly, particularly in districts such as Hardoi, Unnao, Raebareli, and Pratapgarh. This will lead to a substantial boost in local-level employment and economic activity.
The Yogi government's focus is no longer limited solely to road construction; rather, it aims to accelerate the state's economy by integrating infrastructure development with industrial growth. The IMLC (Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster) model being developed alongside the Ganga Expressway constitutes a pivotal element of this vision—a robust stride toward establishing Uttar Pradesh as the nation's premier manufacturing and logistics hub.
