UGC NET June 2026: The National Testing Agency has released the official notification for the UGC NET June 2026 examination. With the issuance of the notice, the registration process has also commenced. Interested candidates can now visit the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, to apply.

What is the deadline for filling out the UGC NET application form?
The online application process began on April 29, 2026, and will continue until May 20, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). Candidates are advised to complete the application process well in advance without waiting for the final deadline.

The UGC NET June 2026 examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode between June 22 and June 30, 2026. The examination will be held for 85 subjects. Information regarding the examination city will be released by June 10, while admit cards will be made available by June 15, 2026.

Who can fill out the UGC NET form?
In terms of academic qualifications, candidates are required to hold a Master's degree from a recognized university, or they may be currently in their final year of study. A minimum aggregate score of 55% marks has been prescribed for the General category, while 50% marks are required for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD).

Regarding the age limit, the maximum age for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is fixed at 30 years; however, there is no upper age limit for the positions of Assistant Professor and for PhD admissions.

Application Process and Fees
Applications will be accepted exclusively through online mode. Candidates must use a valid email ID and mobile number for registration. A candidate is permitted to submit only one application form.

The application fee is set at ₹1,150 for the General category, ₹600 for EWS/OBC categories, and ₹325 for SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender categories. Fees can be paid via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
