RBI Recruitment 2026: The Reserve Bank of India Services Board (RBISB) issued the official notification for the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Grade ‘B’ Recruitment 2026 on April 28, 2026. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 60 vacancies for Grade ‘B’ Officers (Direct Recruitment – ​​DR) across the General, DEPR, and DSIM cadres will be filled. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online via the official RBI website from April 29, 2026, to May 20, 2026.

What are the Application Eligibility Criteria?
Candidates from any academic discipline are eligible to apply for the General Grade ‘B’ post. For this position, securing a minimum of 60% marks in their undergraduate degree is mandatory; however, for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwBD categories, this threshold is set at 50%. If a candidate holds a postgraduate degree, they must have secured 55% marks in it, whereas for candidates from reserved categories, merely passing the postgraduate examination is deemed sufficient.

Grade ‘B’ (DEPR): This position is tailored for experts in the field of Economics. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree (PG) in Economics or Finance, with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates). Candidates holding a PhD or possessing prior research experience will be accorded priority during the selection process.
DSIM (Department of Statistics and Information Management): This position is intended for candidates who are proficient in subjects such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science. Eligibility for this role requires a Master’s degree in one of these disciplines with a minimum of 55% marks. Candidates who have completed a 4-year undergraduate program in these subjects are also considered eligible, provided they have secured 60% marks. In this department as well, candidates possessing higher educational qualifications—such as a PhD—are given priority during the selection process.

**What is the Registration Fee?**
The application fee has been determined differently based on the candidate's category. SC/ST/PwBD candidates are required to pay only the Intimation Charges, which amount to a total of ₹118 (inclusive of 18% GST). Conversely, candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories must pay a combined Application Fee and Intimation Charge totaling ₹1,003 (inclusive of 18% GST). For RBI employees, the application process is entirely free of cost; that is, they are not required to pay any fee.

Selected candidates initially receive a basic salary of approximately ₹78,450 per month. In addition to this, they are entitled to various allowances, such as Dearness Allowance (DA), Special Allowance, Grade Allowance, HRA (approximately 15% if official accommodation is not allotted), and other perquisites.
