Rajat Patidar Wicket: Another controversy has come to light in IPL 2026. There was a big controversy over giving out to RCB captain Rajat Patidar at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The dispute was such that senior player Virat Kohli and RCB head coach Andy Flower also clashed with the umpire. Let us tell you that this catch of Patidar was taken by all-rounder Jason Holder. Let us tell you why there is an uproar over his catch?
Rajat Patidar was looking in amazing form. This player hit an amazing six on the ball of Arshad Khan in the 8th over. But then a big game happened with him on the fourth ball. Rajat Patidar played an aerial shot on the ball of Arshad Khan but the ball took the upper edge of his bat. The ball went to backward square leg and Jason Holder took an excellent catch there. However, it seemed that he had put the ball on the ground while taking the catch. This was visible in the replays and RCB thought that Patidar was not out. But the third umpire gave Patidar out. After this Virat Kohli and Andy Flower started arguing over the fourth umpire. The game also stopped for 2-3 minutes.

The reason behind giving out to Rajat Patidar is that when Holder took the catch of Patidar, he was in complete control. The ball hit the ground but that was after he had taken the catch completely. However, this decision is controversial and questions are being raised on it on social media.
