Evil Dr Todd's wife on Emmerdale has been 'worked out' by fans and it's someone nobody would expect.

For weeks, Dr Todd (Caroline Harker) has been making medical student Jacob Sugden's (Joe-Warren Plant) working life an absolute nightmare. Not only has she been pushing him to breaking point, but she has been gaslighting him and highlighting his errors.

The duo appeared to reach an understanding at one stage, when Dr Todd revealed details about her personal life, disclosing she has a wife, and her father, who suffers from dementia, was receiving hospital treatment.

Nevertheless, Dr Todd's harassment quickly resumed, and matters worsened for Jacob when she relocated to the village. She took up residence as a lodger at Vanessa Woodfield's (Michelle Hardwick) house following her separation from her wife.

What's more, recently she made sick references to the abuse Jacob suffered from Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) a few years back. Believing he had reached his limit, last week Jacob chose to lodge a formal complaint with Dr Todd's employers, reports the Daily Star.

Nevertheless, after Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) was left fighting for her life after she gave birth to Jacob and Sarah's (Katie Hill) baby, Dr Todd stepped in and saved Charity.

Dr Todd then discovered that Jacob isn't the baby, Leyla's, biological father and exploited this information to blackmail Charity, insisting that she persuade Jacob to withdraw the complaint, which he did. However, in Friday's episode (May 1), Dr Todd continued her subtle manipulations of people's opinions of Jacob while at a darts match in the Woolpack with fellow residents including Vanessa.

Now, fans are convinced they have 'rumbled' the identity of Dr Todd's ex-wife. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, viewers have predicted it could be the villainous Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths), the head of a human and drug trafficking gang.

Celia wreaked havoc in the village during her time on the show from 2025 to 2026, making life a misery for the likes of April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards). She ultimately met her end at the hands of her own son Ray Walters (Joe Absolom), who snapped and stabbed her in the stomach.

"Well, after today's Emmerdale, I think Dr Todd was married to Celia!!" said one viewer. Someone else added: "That would be biggg twist!!" A third chimed in: "I think Dr Todd was head of the operations above Celia and Ray." Another wrote: "Now that would be an awesome twist."
