Axis Bank launches first digital locker-centric branch
Private sector Axis Bank has taken a big step towards making the banking experience more secure and modern. The bank has launched its first digital locker-centric branch, with an emphasis on providing better convenience to customers through advanced technology and automation.
According to the bank, a digital and automated locker system has been provided in this new branch, which will provide more secure and easy access to the customers. It includes features like multi-layer security, sensor based protection and centrally monitored vault. The special thing is that customers can access their locker 24×7.
The demand for bank lockers is increasing rapidly in India, especially in metros and big cities. According to estimates, by 2030, about 6 crore people will need bank lockers, whereas at present only about 60 lakh lockers are available. It is clear from this that there is a big difference between demand and supply.
The new Digital Locker branch has been specially designed for those areas where premium housing and gated communities are in abundance. People living here are in greater need of safe and convenient locker service.
This branch was inaugurated by M Nagaraju. During this, bank MD Amitabh Chaudhry and Executive Director Munish Sharda were also present.
Axis Bank says that this branch is not just a facility, but the beginning of a new model of banking. This will give customers more privacy, control and better experience. Besides, the bank will also be able to strengthen its presence in densely populated cities. In view of the increasing need for digital and secure banking, this initiative of Axis Bank gives a glimpse of the future banking system, where a better combination of technology and convenience will be seen.
