Material
For the tart shell
Flour – 1 cup
Butter (cold) – ½ cup
Powdered sugar – ¼ cup
A pinch of salt
Cold water – as required
For the custard filling
Milk – 2 cups
Custard powder – 2 tbsp
Sugar – 4 tbsp
Vanilla essence – ½ tsp
For the topping
Strawberry, Kiwi, Apple, Grapes, Mango (as you like)

First of all, mix flour, powdered sugar and salt in a bowl. Add cold butter to it and mix by hand.
When the mixture resembles breadcrumbs, add some cold water and knead the dough.
Wrap the kneaded dough in plastic and keep it in the fridge for 20-30 minutes.
Roll out the dough and set in the tart mould. Poke small holes with a fork and bake at 180°C for 15-20 minutes. Let cool.
Mix custard powder and sugar in milk and cook on gas. Once it thickens, turn off the heat and add the vanilla essence and let it cool.
Spread the prepared custard filling evenly in the cooled tart shell.
Arrange the fresh fruits cut from the top.
Heat some jelly or jam and brush it over the fruit, it gives the tart a shine.
Always use the butter cold, so the shell becomes crisp.
Apply the fruit before serving, so it will look fresh.
Fill the tart only when the custard is completely cooled.
