Odisha Class X Board Exam Results: Over 95% Pass Rate and Historic Changes

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha class X board examination results have been released, revealing that more than 95% of the 5.36 lakh students who took the test have successfully passed, as announced by School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond on Saturday.


In addition to the class X results, the minister also shared outcomes for the State Open School Certificate (SOSC) and Madhyama examinations.


Out of 5.44 lakh students registered for the class X exams, 5.36 lakh participated at over 3,000 centers statewide from February 19 to March 2.


A total of 5.19 lakh students, representing a pass rate of 95.33%, successfully completed the examination administered by the Board of Secondary Education.


This year, girls outshone boys, with 2,63,152 girls passing compared to 2,56,099 boys.


The minister noted that 2,456 students achieved an A1 grade, while 15,681 received A2, 43,565 earned B1, and 86,103 obtained B2.


Furthermore, 1,29,813 students received a C grade, 1,46,152 students were awarded a D grade, and 95,481 students got an E grade.


Notably, 8,364 students were absent, and 17,055 did not pass the exam.


Gond highlighted that 3,310 schools achieved a 100% pass rate.


Gajapati district boasted the highest pass percentage at 99.31%, whereas Keonjhar district had the lowest at 94.35%.


For the first time, the board will provide certificates in the Odia language alongside English.


Students can access their results on the BSE websites from 7 PM onwards.


Registration for supplementary examinations will take place from May 8 to May 18, with tests scheduled for July, as stated by BSE president Srikanta Tarai.


Students will also have the opportunity to apply online for rechecking and can request copies of their answer sheets.


In the SOSC examination, approximately 59.82% of students passed, while the Madhyama examination saw an 87.3% pass rate.
