New Delhi: Early trends in the Tamil Nadu Assembly election results 2026 have generated significant interest, with actor-turned-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) putting up a strong performance in its debut election.

According to initial trends, TVK has taken the lead in 66 constituencies, pushing the AIADMK to the third position.

Reports indicate that TVK has extended its lead to 68 seats, while AIADMK is leading in 61 seats. The DMK, led by Chief Minister M K Stalin, is ahead in 52 constituencies.

In a significant development, M K Stalin is reported to be trailing in early rounds in his Kolathur constituency, raising concerns within the DMK camp.

The entry of Vijay into electoral politics has altered the traditional contest between DMK and AIADMK, turning it into a three-cornered fight.
