M&S welcomed customers back into its 13,000 square foot store after an impressive transformation. The 13,000 sq ft store offers the best of M&S Food for customers, the supermarket has promised. It features customers' favourite M&S Food products on the shelves. There is also a brand-new in-store bakery & coffee counter, serving barista-made takeaway drinks, alongside a selection of pastries and bread, including the chain's popular Collection Sourdough.
Marks and Spencer's Martlesham Heath welcomed people back inside last week. It comes as the supermarket chain plans an ambitious expansion across the UK. It has already opened new food stores in multiple locations across the country, while it revealed its wish list of 500 locations where it would like to open new stores. It is one of the several supermarket chains operating in the UK that are planning major revamps and expansions, such as Aldi and Lidl.
The newly transformed Martlesham Heath store also features a brand-new cheese barge at the centre of the store offers a selection of speciality cheeses.
Customers will also be able to find the M&S Remarksable Value range, which is made up of over 100 everyday essentials, price benchmarked against key competitors and with an M&S quality point of difference .
Store Manager Jonathan Black, who has worked at M&S for 15 years, said of the opening: "It feels amazing to be back serving our customers. The atmosphere has been electric this morning and I'm so grateful to everyone who queued to be one of the first inside. A massive thanks also to the team for all their hard work - this investment in Martlesham means we can now deliver the best of M&S Food for our customers, just in time for the bank holiday and the start of summer."
