In the case of the blast on the boundary wall of Khasa Army Cantt area of ​​Amritsar, Punjab Police has confirmed that someone threw some explosive from outside towards the Army Cantt, after which the blast took place. However, there was no damage due to the blast. According to the information, the blast took place in Jalandhar between 7-30, while in Amritsar the blast took place late at night.

Forensic teams have found something like an iron tin stuck on the boundary ball of Army Cantt, which suggests that someone from outside threw some explosive inside to cause a blast, after which this huge explosion took place. According to initial information, masked people who came on a bike threw this explosive inside and fled from the spot.

Search operation started in surrounding areas

Due to the blast, the tin shed installed on the boundary wall to cover the army area collapsed. The wall between gate numbers 6 and 7 has also suffered some damage. As soon as the sound of the explosion was heard, military officers and police officers reached the spot and started investigation. It is suspected that the attack was carried out with a grenade. Search operation has also been started in the surrounding areas.

There is talk of use of IED in the blasts at both the places.

Where the blast took place in Amritsar, there is also a BSF Khasa Camp at some distance from the Army Camp area. According to sources, the investigation so far has revealed the use of IED in the blasts that took place in both Jalandhar and Amritsar.
