Delhi Capitals head coach Hemang Badani's pain could not be hidden after losing the match against CSK. His anger suppressed in his heart regarding the pitch finally came out on his tongue. Arun Jaitley Stadium is the home ground of Delhi Capitals. But, when we look at the statistics of Akshar Patel's team on this ground in IPL 2026, we will know that the home ground is in name only. Every home team adjusts the pitch of its ground according to its strengths. But, looking at the statistics of Arun Jaitley's pitch, it seems as if it is made only for the opposing teams to win.
Delhi Capitals has played 10 matches so far in IPL 2026, out of which it has won only 4. That means it has faced defeat in 6 matches. Now just look at the record of Delhi Capitals on the pitch of their home ground. Delhi Capitals has played 5 matches so far this season at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, out of which it has faced defeat in 4. That is, if seen, the situation at home is even worse than outside. Delhi Capitals have won at least 3 matches away from home and 5 matches.
Fed up with the poor condition of the team at home, Delhi Capitals head coach Hemang Badani told the whole truth after the defeat to CSK. He clearly said that we have no control over the pitch.
Hemang Badani said that we have no control over the pitch in Delhi. Even if we want to think that we have control over the pitch on which we want to play, it is not so. We have to play on the same pitch which is made available to us.
🔴SHOCKING STATEMENT BY DC HEAD COACH ON DELHI PITCH 🤯
Hemang Badani🎙️- We dont have any control over the pitch in Delhi. As much as one would like to think that were in control of the pitches we want to play on, you play what is presented to you.😕pic.twitter.com/eEz4jlzoMC

There were a lot of ups and downs in the difference in runs scored in the 5 matches played on the Delhi pitch. In IPL 2026, the score board crossed the 200 plus run mark in 2 matches on the Delhi pitch. Even the huge score of 264 runs seemed to be chased on the Delhi ground. Now, seeing all this, it seems that the pitch of Delhi is full of runs and is a heaven for the batsmen. On the other hand, a small total like 75 runs was also seen being made this season on the Delhi ground itself. These variations seen in the pitch and its adverse results finally forced the coach of Delhi Capitals to raise his voice against it.
