Clive Owen got emotional during the first episode of Reuben Owen: Life in the Dales as he marked a major milestone. The Our Yorkshire Farm star gave a speech in front of his family and friends as he admitted, "I can't believe I'm 70."

Clive asked one of his friends, "How far off 70 are you then?" to which his friend replied, "I've got two years to catch you up, I am but a boy."

Clive laughed as he stated, "I can't do anything about it, I am 70 whether I like it or not, and I don't like it."

As he stood in front of his family and friends, the farmer said, "Well, here I am for my 70th birthday. I can't believe that I have got to 70.

"It just seems five minutes since I was on my push bike, and you know, life just goes so fast, doesn't it?

"I've been coming down here for a fair old while, we always came on a Sunday night. There were always a few characters, a few locals who would sit around that fire.

"Sadly, they are all gone now, but I am still here, and so there you go."

Reuben then chimed in, "Thanks, Dad, for keeping us three on the straight and narrow."

As Clive shook each of his sons' hands, he added, "It has been great fun, top men. Thank you all for coming and cheers."

This isn't the first time that Clive has reflected on his age and the future of running Ravenseat Farm.

During an episode of Our Farm Next Door from earlier this year, the father of nine opened up about passing the farm to his sons.

"It is a young fellas' game," Clive told the camera. "I am almost 70 now, so I have got to think about what comes next.

"It is something the family are discussing at the moment to see where the future lies for everyone." Clive chuckled as he added, "It is nice for me to pass on my shears."
