  • Many BJP MPs are claimed to have been elected not by democratic means, but by manipulating the election process
  • Calling the government in Haryana ‘intruder’, questioning the election process there
  • Allegation that the Election Commission and other institutions are in BJP’s pocket and are being run by “remote control”.

Rahul Gandhi Allegation on Election Commission:The results of the West Bengal assembly elections gave a landslide victory to the Bharatiya Janata Party. In West Bengal, BJP secured a historic victory in Bengal by securing as many as 206 seats. But after this victory, the Chief Minister of Bengal Mamata Banerjee refused to quit the post of Chief Minister. This has created the possibility of heating up the politics of Bengal.

On the other hand, the opposition parties have raised serious questions about the BJP’s victory and have accused the government of vote rigging. After BJP’s landslide victory, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi made a post on social media, which is likely to spark a new controversy.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi posted on social media. Targeting the BJP directly, he wrote in this post that sometimes seats are stolen by stealing votes, sometimes entire governments are stolen. Out of the 240 BJP MPs in the Lok Sabha, almost every sixth MP has won through vote rigging.”

Intruder government in Haryana – Rahul

Rahul Gandhi has hit hard at the Haryana government calling it an intruder. “It is not difficult to identify them—should we call them ‘infiltrators’ in BJP parlance? And Haryana? The entire government there is infiltrator.” Those who keep institutions in their pockets, who manipulate electoral rolls and electoral processes—they are themselves “remote-controlled.” Not only this, truth is BJP’s real fear. Because if the elections were fair, they wouldn’t have got even 140 seats today.” Rahul Gandhi has also used such a festive trick. It seems that this post will surely cause a lot of uproar in the political circle.

Defeated by more than 15,000 votes, Bharatiya Janata Party created history by winning 207 seats in the West Bengal elections. Meanwhile, the Trinamool Congress had to settle for only 80 seats and the Congress for two seats. Mamata Banerjee was contesting elections against BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari in Bhawanipur assembly constituency in Bengal. Suvendu Adhikari defeated Mamata Banerjee by a margin of over 15,000 votes.

However, Mamata Banerjee did not accept this election defeat in Bengal. “I didn’t lose, my votes were stolen,” she said. In this context, Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav will also visit Kolkata today to meet Mamata Banerjee.
