IPL 2026 Playoff Schedule News In Hindi: BCCI has released the official schedule of IPL 2026 playoff matches on May 6. The biggest news of this announcement is that the final of the tournament will no longer be played in Bengaluru but at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
bcci According to an official statement issued by Secretary Devajit Saikia, the hosting of the final match was initially assigned to Bengaluru. However, there were some demands from the local cricket association and officials which were found to be beyond the scope of BCCI’s laid down rules and protocols.
Apart from this, BCCI also said that due to some operational and logistical problems, the final match has been shifted from Bengaluru to Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The board also said that all the matches of IPL 2026 so far have been very exciting. So, they want this season to end on a grand note in the biggest cricket stadium in the world.
IPL 2026 BCCI has selected three venues for the conclusion of the tournament. The journey of the playoffs will begin on May 26 from the picturesque Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala, where Qualifier-1 will be played.
After this, the tournament caravan will move towards New International Cricket Stadium, New Chandigarh, where important matches of Eliminator on 27th May and Qualifier-2 on 29th May will be held. This is the first time that new centers like New Chandigarh have been given the responsibility of high-voltage matches like playoffs.
After 70 exciting matches of the league stage, the top four teams of the points table will take part in this title battle. The dates as per the schedule released by BCCI are as follows:
qualifier 1: 26 May 2026, Dharamshala – In this, the top two teams will clash and the winning team will directly reach the finals.
Eliminator: 27 May 2026, New Chandigarh – It involves a ‘do or die’ match between the third and fourth placed teams. There will be competition.
Qualifier 2: 29 May 2026, New Chandigarh – Here the winner of the eliminator will face the losing team of Qualifier-1.
Final: 31 May 2026, Ahmedabad – The winning teams of Qualifier-1 and Qualifier-2 will face each other for the title.
As the playoffs are approaching, the competition between teams has become very tough. The path ahead is difficult for Delhi. Their coach Hemang Badani says that now every match for the team is like a final i.e. even a single defeat can knock them out. At the same time, Chennai Super Kings and other teams are trying their best to remain on top of the points table.
