Operation Sindoor Anniversary: Today i.e. 7th May is the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor. The Indian Army had conducted this operation for four days in the year 2025 i.e. from 7th to 10th May. India took this action in response to the Pahalgam attack. In this attack, 26 tourists were shot by terrorists. To respond to this vicious attack, the Government of India had launched Operation Sindoor. India's aim was to destroy the terrorist structures and the security forces continuously attacked it.

Come, on the occasion of the first anniversary, let us once again try to find out what Pakistan lost in Operation Sindoor. Airbases, radars, fighter planes, terrorist bases and terrorists too? How many casualties occurred?

What did Pakistan lose?

What Pakistan lost is clearly mentioned in open sources. But the complete list of killed terrorists does not appear to be publicly available. According to Pakistani dossier, attacks were carried out on Rawalpindi, Lahore, Mianwali, Sargodha, Dinga of Sindh province, Karachi of Sindh province, Quetta, Turbat and Gwadar of Balochistan, Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Skardu of Gilgit-Baltistan. But there is rarely any clear mention of the extent of damage caused at these places. There are often different views on targets and losses in the dossier.

Which airbases were attacked?

According to media reports and other Pakistani sources, during Operation Sindoor, about a dozen airbases were attacked by the Indian Army, which mainly included Noor Khan, Rafiqui, Murid, Sukkar, Sialkot, Pasur, Chunian, Sargodha, Skardu, Bholari and Jacobabad. Apart from this, Chaklala and Rahim Yar Khan airports also became victims of attack. It is also claimed in the dossier that Masroor airbase and Samungali airbase were also targeted by the Indian Army.

How much damage was caused to Chinese radar and air defense in Pakistan?

This case is a bit typical. Mostly based on claims. Not many concrete things are available. For example, in the initial attacks, India had talked about jamming the Chinese air defense system deployed in Pakistan. Media reports also claim to have penetrated the Chinese air defense system. There is information about destruction of radar installation in Pasur and air defense system in Lahore. Early warning radars were also destroyed at many places. A clear list in this case does not appear to be available in open sources.

How much damage was caused to the fighter planes?

This topic is also controversial and with different claims. There is a clear mention of the loss of a C-130 aircraft in the attack on Noor Khan airbase. At Bholari base too, there is mention of some aircraft as well as radar system being damaged and later repaired. There is also information available that at least five Pakistani jets and one early warning aircraft were shot down in this operation, but no such list from the Pakistan government or army is available in open sources.

How many lives were lost in Operation Sindoor?

The Pakistani government has acknowledged the deaths of a total of 40 civilians and 13 military personnel, which appears to be far from the truth. The whole world believes that Pakistan has suffered more casualties in these attacks. There is also a clear mention of the confirmation that half a dozen airmen were killed in the May 10 attacks. India claims that at least a hundred terrorists were killed in the initial attacks, but Pakistan consistently denies the existence of terrorists, leave alone their deaths.

Which terrorists died?

Since, Pakistan has denied the presence of terrorists. In such a situation, only the claims made in the media reports in this matter are available. There is no official list available. Still, Abdul Rauf Azhar's name was prominently mentioned among those who died but it was not confirmed. It also came to light that at least ten members of terrorist Masood Azhar's family and four close associates were killed.

Which terrorist hideouts were destroyed?

In this case the picture becomes a little clearer. The Indian Army left no stone unturned in destroying some sites in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Shawai Nala Camp, Gulpur, Barnala and Sialkot. It can be said that their entire structure was destroyed. It does not matter whether the Pakistan government agrees or not, the terrorists and their hideouts were destroyed. No one should have any doubt on this issue.

It has been a year since Operation Sindoor. Now the center of debate is not just the strike. The center also depends on how confirmed the data is and how much is propaganda. The strongest thing in open sources appears to be the list of targets. The names of airbases are also repeated at many places. There are also talks about impact on radar and Chinese systems. But, the complete list of Chinese radars model-wise is not available. The damage caused by fighter planes is also not uniform.
