Guwahati: On Thursday, Dilip Saikia, the President of Assam's BJP, announced that the swearing-in ceremony for the newly formed NDA government will take place on May 12 at Khanapara in Guwahati. The event will be graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and numerous senior leaders from the NDA.

Saikia informed the media that the ceremony is set to commence at 11 am at the Veterinary College Playground in Khanapara, with an anticipated turnout of over 100,000 attendees.

He expressed that there is significant excitement among the public in Guwahati and across Assam regarding the establishment of the new NDA government.

“The community is looking forward to the swearing-in ceremony. A substantial number of supporters and citizens are expected to gather at Khanapara to witness this momentous event,” Saikia remarked.

As per his statements, Prime Minister Modi is expected to land at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati around 10:15 am on May 12, before heading to the Narengi helipad and then proceeding to the ceremony venue.

Saikia also mentioned that besides the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister, former BJP national president J.P. Nadda, various Union ministers, chief ministers, and deputy chief ministers from NDA-governed states, along with senior party officials from across the nation, are anticipated to be present at the event.

He assured that the party and the state government are meticulously overseeing the preparations for the occasion.

Numerous ministers, senior BJP officials, and organizational leaders have been designated to manage the arrangements and ensure order during the event.

In addition, Saikia revealed that meetings for the BJP Legislature Party and the NDA Legislature Party are scheduled for May 10. These meetings, which will include J.P. Nadda and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, are expected to officially elect the new leader of the legislature party prior to the government's formation.
