Thirthahalli: A leopard died after being hit by a motorcycle near Mandagadde in Thirthahalli taluk on Friday afternoon.

According to initial information, the biker was travelling from Shivamogga towards Thirthahalli when the leopard suddenly came onto the road. The rider reportedly lost control of the bike and collided with the animal.

The leopard suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. The biker sustained minor injuries in the accident.

After receiving information about the incident, forest department officials rushed to the spot and began an inspection.
