Filmmaker Hardik Gajjar’s Krishnavataram – Part 1: Hridayam starring Siddharth Gupta, Sushmita Bhat, Sanskruti Jayana and Nivaashiyni Krishnan in the lead role.

The devotional epic’s official synopsis reads, "A mythological narrative that reimagines the journey of Lord Krishna, tracing his path from Dwarka to Kurukshetra after parting ways with Radha. As his journey unfolds, it explores his connection with people, his layered personality, and the lessons he imparts about love and life.”

As the movie released in theatres on May 7, 2026, the social media is buzzing with its audience reviews and reactions.

Sharing their review of the movie, one social media user wrote, “#RadhaKrishna scenes in #Krishnavataram felt straight out of a painting. So pure and divine #SiddharthGupta #SushmitaBhat”.

Another user reacted, “Went for #Krishnavataram because the promotional songs looked beautiful but didn’t expect #SiddharthGupta to perform Krishna THIS well Totally mesmerized”.

A third user wrote, “Shri Krishna ki kahani kehna sirf ek film banana nahi hota. #Krishnavataram Part 1 is beautifully shot. Animation in it is gorgeous. But the storytelling never achieves the point where u can call it magical. When you can't achieve that with the story of Krishna, u miss a huge opportunity! U can watch Krishnavataram if u have kids whom u want to give basic introduction to Shri Krishna's life. Expect nothing much from it.”

A fourth user reviewed, “Visually, half of the film looks good: interior courtroom scenes, while the other half is AI-generated. Aesthetically pleasing, particularly costumes of female characters. Krishna's wing is bad. While the narratives in this film is disjointed and, at times, bad. #Krishnavataram”.
