Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, one of Pakistan’s most well-known drama writers, has once again come under criticism on social media following his controversial remarks about marriage, infidelity, and the role of men and women in relationships.

During a recent interview, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar shared his views on married men cheating on their spouses. Responding to a question about infidelity after marriage, he held women responsible and questioned, “Who are these men cheating with? Obviously with other women.” He further stated that women rarely criticize those women who, according to him, become involved with married men and contribute to breaking families apart.

The writer also said that women should raise their voices against women who show interest in married men.

In another controversial statement, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar claimed that men are not strong enough to resist the attention or advances of women, which, in his opinion, leads to incidents of infidelity.

He also referred to men as “double-faced” and added that many wives display patience and forgiveness by pardoning their husbands, although they still have the right to end the relationship if they choose.

The statement has rapidly gone viral across social media platforms, where users are expressing mixed reactions. While many criticized his views and termed them unfair towards women, others argued that his comments reflected a social reality.
