Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta conducted a surprise inspection at Rajkiya Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, where she reviewed infrastructure conditions and interacted with students regarding facilities available at the school. During classroom visits, students were asked about drinking water availability, fire safety arrangements, cleanliness, measures related to heat conditions, and academic infrastructure.
Following the inspection, the Chief Minister directed officials to carry out building infrastructure and fire safety audits across all Delhi government schools. Authorities were instructed to ensure that no lapses occur in matters related to student safety or essential services. The school administration was also asked to submit a detailed assessment of maintenance and infrastructure requirements for further action.
Officials noted that the Roop Nagar school building is around 50 years old and requires maintenance work in several areas. The inspection comes amid ongoing efforts by the Delhi government to improve infrastructure and essential amenities in public schools. The administration stated that recent initiatives have focused on strengthening facilities such as sanitation, drinking water access, and overall safety conditions to provide a better learning environment for students across the capital.
