The way the opposition is raising questions on the ten appeals made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the citizens of the country recently, now the Bharatiya Janata Party has hit back at him. BJP MP and fiery spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi has strongly supported the Prime Minister’s call while launching a strong attack on the opposition, calling the opposition’s criticism against the national interest.
Sudhanshu Trivedi supported the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and strongly attacked the opposition. He clarified that whatever the Prime Minister has said is the duty of the government, just like the government advises people to take precautions during the threat of a tsunami or a major storm. This does not at all mean that the government is trying to curb anyone’s freedom, rather it is a call for necessary vigilance for every individual, village, city, district and the entire system.
Taking aim at the opposition, the BJP MP said that I think the opposition is repeating the same mistake once again. While opposing the government, BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they are not able to decide when they cross the line of anti-nationalism. Trivedi asked a direct question to the opposition that today they should tell which region of the world is not facing some economic, strategic or energy crisis at present. Be it America, Europe or Middle East countries, challenges are looming everywhere.
Trivedi asked the opposition whether they were or were not in favor of ensuring India’s future economic and energy security. He alleged that just as the opposition wants to serve its political interests by creating chaos at the social and political level, is it not trying to serve its political interests in the same way by creating chaos on the economic and security issues?
The BJP MP further said that today India’s situation is like that of a strong ship when a tsunami has come in the oceans of the whole world. In this global tsunami, all the ships are becoming victims of turmoil, and even in such a difficult situation, if our ship is moving forward, then it is natural for it to face some shocks. If someone says that it is not the fault of the tsunami but the fault of the captain of the ship, then I think it is the fault of his vision.
Sudhanshu Trivedi asked three clear questions to the opposition and demanded clear and direct answers from them. He said that the Prime Minister has made this appeal because about 85 percent of our energy needs are imported from abroad, in which a large amount of foreign exchange is spent. Ensuring economic and energy security at this time is extremely important for the future of the country.
Referring to the poem of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he also called upon the opposition, “Come together and light the lamp.” Trivedi said that for the opposition which is trying to cover the truth with its clouds of confusion, I would like to say: “Let us light the lamp together, there is darkness in the afternoon, the sun is defeated by the shadow, squeeze the love of the innermost, light the extinguished wick, let us light the lamp together.”
The BJP MP further elaborated that the entire world is currently going through a period of unprecedented and historic crisis. The Middle East and Western Asia are in the direct grip of war. The war between Ukraine and Russia has been going on in Europe for years. Situations like the war between Israel and Gaza, as well as the increasing tension between America and Iran are taking the entire world to an extremely challenging turn. Even on the borders of countries like Thailand and Cambodia, there is tension. In such a time of unprecedented crisis, when the whole world is facing a serious crisis not only of security but also of economic and energy security, it is necessary for India to remain alert.
Citing the example of increase in the prices of global petroleum products, Sudhanshu Trivedi said that today the situation is such that in America the prices have increased by 20 to 40 percent, in Europe by 20-40 percent, and in African countries even by 60 percent. Even today, petrol is available in California at Rs 140 per liter in Indian currency. In such a challenging time, if our Prime Minister has appealed to all the citizens of the country to be alert, alert and careful keeping in mind the future, then it is extremely necessary for the economic and energy security of all of us.
It is noteworthy that during a public meeting in Telangana on May 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made a total of ten important appeals to the people including saving petrol and diesel, using public transport, not buying gold for a year and adopting work from home, which the BJP is now calling a step taken in the national interest.
