A UK hotel has collapsed into administrationafter four years in business. The Auberge in Yaxley is a former coaching inn, only 35 minutes from Norwich, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, and Thetford.

The hotelis a family-run business "passionate about engaging with the local community and creating unforgettable moments". Their website says: "Our belief is that excellent produce does not travel and we pride ourselves on using the finest that Suffolk and Norfolk have to offer." The family took over the business in 2022, with an ambition of creating a "truly immersive experience where you can both feel at home after a long day of meetings or spoil yourself as part of an indulgent staycation". The Auberge is Grade II listed, with 11 rooms and an intimate 12-seat restaurantwith two AA rosettes.

The website said that the "wooden beams and hypnos beds come together in merging the old with the new". Bookings come with a locally-sourced breakfast and optional add-ons.

The bedrooms offer a "comforting interior and idyllic surroundings" and the restaurant has an a la carte menu, a tasting menu, afternoon tea, a menu du jour, and Sunday lunch.

The Auberge has not publicly commented on the administration yet, but the Gazette reported it took place on May 5. Administrators from RDW Restructuring Limited and Richard Long & Co, both located in Hertford, were appointed on May 12.

The most recent post on their social media was on Facebook and Instagram on April 1, when they announced their Spring 2026 menu and the return of Sunday roasts.

This comes after Revo Hospitality Group, Europe's largest white-label hotel operator, announced it was entering administration. It operates over 260 hotels across 12 countries.
