The application process for the recruitment of 1,191 Apprentice posts in the Railways has officially commenced. Interested candidates may apply online at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in until June 11.
Good news has emerged for young aspirants preparing to work in the Railways. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 1,191 vacant positions will be filled. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online. The application process has already begun, and candidates may fill out the forms within the stipulated deadline.
Under this recruitment drive, candidates will receive training in various trades. The entire recruitment process has been designed to be conducted online. Selected candidates will undergo a one-year apprenticeship training program. The recruitment process will be conducted in accordance with the Apprentices Act, 1961, and the relevant Apprenticeship Rules.
Details of Posts
A total of 1,191 posts have been released under this recruitment campaign. Specific vacancies have been allocated for different trades. The highest number of posts have been released for the COPA, Fitter, Electrician, and Wireman trades. Additionally, the list includes various other trades such as Carpenter, Welder, Painter, RAC Mechanic, Stenographer, and Diesel Mechanic.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for this recruitment must have passed their 10th-grade examination from a recognized board. Furthermore, they must possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade. While applying, candidates are required to provide details pertaining only to their 10th-grade and ITI qualifications. Applications may be liable for cancellation if any other higher academic qualifications are entered.
Age Limit
The minimum age limit for candidates has been set at 15 years, and the maximum age limit at 24 years. The age will be calculated as of June 11, 2026. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.
Selection Process
No written examination of any kind will be conducted for this recruitment drive. Candidates will be selected based on a merit list. This merit list will be prepared based on the average percentage of marks obtained in the 10th grade and ITI examinations. Equal weightage will be assigned to both examinations.
Stipend and Training Period
Selected candidates will be required to complete a one-year training period. During the training, candidates will receive a stipend in accordance with the rules prescribed by the State Government. There is no guarantee of permanent employment upon the completion of the training.
