The man, a 19-year-old surnamed Lu, started running the stall in Yantai City, Shandong Province, at age 17 and has since become the main income earner in his family, according to the South China Morning Post.
Videos posted online show Lu slicking back his hair, winking at the camera, catching eggs tossed by family members, and posing while cooking. He was also seen flipping the wok, a signature move by Chinese chefs.

Lu has garnered more than 46,000 followers and 190,000 likes on social media, where he posts videos under the hashtag #sanjifriedrice, referencing a cook character from the Japanese manga and anime series One Piece.
He said he sometimes holds a cigarette in his mouth to look more the part, although he does not smoke.
His stall is open daily from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Lu said he can prepare one serving of fried rice in about three minutes and often works for hours without resting on busy days. He reportedly sells more than 200 portions of fried rice a day at around 10 yuan each, making around 20,000 yuan after costs.
He said he originally wore suits while cooking to “bring some romance to the hustle and bustle” and did not expect such “enthusiasm” from customers.
“They may come out of curiosity. What makes them stay is the flavor,” he said.

Lu said his father helps out by preparing ingredients while he focuses on cooking and interacting with customers. He did not disclose his future business plans but said he has started accepting apprentices.
