All banks carry out maintenance work from time to time. Whose information is given to the customers in advance. During this period many upgrades are made to the system. The country’s two big banks, HDFC Bank and SBI, have issued a down time alert (SBI and HDFC Bank Alert) for May 17. Scheduled banking services will be temporarily disrupted for some time. Due to which customers may have to face problems.
According to the official website of HDFC Bank, Forex prepaid card, debit-credit card, NEFT and RTGS services will be disrupted on May 17. State Bank of India has issued an alert regarding RTGS service. Both the banks have also expressed regret for the disruption. After the scheduled time, all services will again be available as before.
On May 17, RTGS service will not be available to customers for 3 hours from 12:15 AM to 3:15 AM. This step has been taken due to scheduled maintenance activities. The bank has advised customers to use IMPS service. SBI has given this information by sharing a post on the social media platform “X”.
Ecom Forex Card Loading/Reloading and Instant Reload facility through Net Banking Prepaid Card will not be available on 17th May from 12:30 AM to 3:00 AM. Prepaid cards, net banking services and instant reload portal will be affected. Forex card loading and instant reload service through Internet Banking will not work from 8:00 AM to 10 AM.
On this day, for 2 hours 30 minutes from 12:30 AM to 3:00 AM, services like online transactions on domestic and international INR prepaid cards through HDFC Bank debit cards, credit cards and NetSafe cards, in store transactions, online and ATM cash withdrawals, Forex cards for online transactions will be affected. Apart from this, customers will also not be able to load or reload INR prepaid and forex cards through HDFC Bank debit cards and credit cards. However, customers can use domestic and international ATMs and in-store transactions.
NEFT transaction services will be disrupted from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM due to schedule maintenance. On this day, customers may also face interruption in RTGS transactions from 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM.
