Officially, the war has stopped, but Israel continues its operations against Hamas in Gaza. In that campaign, the commander of the Hamas army, Iz Al Din Al Haddad, was killed. This information was made public by the Israeli army on Saturday. It is said that the army carried out an operation in Gaza City on Friday. Haddad died in that campaign. Hamas has also accepted the news of this death.

According to AFP reports, Hamas said Haddad was killed in an Israeli strike on Friday. He took shelter in an apartment in that area. Israel launched an airstrike there on Friday. Haddad died in that attack. As soon as the news of this death came to the fore, the general population of Gaza rose up against Israel. After Haddad’s death, thousands of citizens gathered at his funeral. Many children are also seen on the last journey.

The army launched an operation in Gaza City on Friday. Haddad died in that campaign. Hamas has also accepted the news of this death.

According to the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), Haddad was involved in the plot of the attack carried out by Hamas on Israeli soil on October 7. This army chief was on Israel’s hit list for a long time. The Israeli military said, “Haddad was one of the surviving Hamas militants who played a key role in planning and executing the October 7 attacks. At the same time, Haddad kept a large number of Israeli hostages in his custody during the war. Haddad used the hostages as shields to save his own life.”

Meanwhile, Gaza’s Ministry of Health has informed that the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was completed on October 11 last year. However, although the ceasefire was completed, the operation did not stop. Since the ceasefire, 870 people have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza. The number of injured is 2543 people.
