Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma, supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Anil Kumar and efficient direction of Area Officer City Randhir Mishra and leadership of Inspector-in-charge Chopan Akhilesh Mishra, Chopan police station has achieved significant success in the campaign being run against crime and criminals.

On 15.05.2026, a written complaint was given to the local police station by Vadini Janaki Devi wife Rajneesh Vishwakarma, resident of village Patvadh, Chopan district, Sonbhadra, that regarding the division of the house, her brother-in-law Kripashankar Vishwakarma, his wife Parvati wife Kripashankar Vishwakarma, his son Ravi Vishwakarma son Kripashankar Vishwakarma and daughter Meenu daughter Kripashankar were abusing. Vadini’s husband Rajneesh Vishwakarma was attacked with a sharp weapon with the intention of killing him, due to which he suffered serious injuries.

On the basis of the complaint received, a case was registered at Chopan police station under IPC No. 0177/2026 section 109(1), 115(2), 191(2), 352, 351(3) BNS. Chopan police station was continuously raiding possible places to arrest the wanted accused in the said case. In the same sequence, on 15.05.2026, on the information of special informer, Police Station Chopan surrounded village Patvadh Chopan and arrested 03 wanted accused to the case respectively.

Kripashankar son of late Omprakash Vishwakarma age about 51 years resident of village Patvadh police station Chopan district Sonbhadra, Ravi Shankar son Kripashankar age about 29 years resident of village Patvadh police station Chopan district Sonbhadra, Shashikant son of Kripashankar age about 19 years resident village Patvadh police station Chopan district Sonbhadra were arrested at around 19:25 pm.

One number of sharp weapons used in the incident were recovered from the possession of the arrested accused. On the basis of the arrest and recovery, necessary legal action was taken against the accused and they were sent to the court. The police team that made the arrest mainly included SHO Rampher Yadav of Chopan police station, SHO Shivam Saroj and SHO Satyam Tripathi.
