Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler Keep Titans Alive in Massive Chase

Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler have been anchoring the Gujarat Titans’ innings in the 248-run chase against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2026 game played at Kolkata.

After being invited to bat first, Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen will open the innings while Mohammed Siraj opened the bowling attack. Mohammed Siraj bagged the wicket of Rahane for 14 runs.

He got bowled out on an inswinger as Siraj bagged his 200th T20 wicket. Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who came to bat at No.3, joined Finn Allen as KKR scored 56 runs in the powerplay.

In the meantime, Finn Allen smashed his fifty off 21 deliveries as the duo stabilised the innings.

Allen went on to deal with maximums scoring 93 runs off 34 deliveries before being dismissed by Sai Kishore. He got dismissed on a catch at wide long-on where Rashid Khan picks the safe catch.

By his dismissal, Kolkata Knight Riders lost two wickets for 144 runs. Cameron Green who came to bat at No.4, joined Raghuvanshi to trouble Titans’ bowlers.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi went on to score 77 runs as Kolkata Knight Riders crossed 200 run mark in the game.

Meanwhile, Cameron Green smashed 26-ball fifty and remained unbeaten with 52* runs. Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 82* runs off 44 deliveries as Kolkata Knight Riders scored 247 runs in their 20 over innings.

Chasing a mammoth total, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan opened the innings while Saurabh Dubey opened the bowling attack.

With the duo made a solid start, Sai Sudharsan got hit on his left elbow and walked out of the field retired hurt.

Nishant Sindhu who came to bat at No.3 got dismissed for 1 run. He got dismissed on a outside off delivery from Sunil Narine where Manish Pandey bagged the catch at long off.

With Jos Buttler joining Shubman Gill at crease, Gujarat Titans scored 56 runs in the powerplay.

In the mean time, Shubman Gill smashed 33-ball fifty anchoring the innings on the run chase.
