8th pay commission
The 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC) of the Central Government will visit Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana on 18 and 19 May 2026. During this, the Commission will meet representatives of central government organizations, institutions, employee unions and various associations.
Any employee organization, union or institution that wanted to meet the 8th Pay Commission was required to first submit its memorandum on the official website of the Commission.
After submitting the memorandum, applicants had to take an appointment before May 8, 2026 through an official form link. The unique Memo ID received after application has been kept essential in this process.
The 8th Pay Commission has said in its statement that it was mandatory to submit the application for appointment by May 8, 2026. The location and complete schedule of the meeting will be shared later. This visit is being considered important for the employees and pensioners, because it will give them an opportunity to present their demands and suggestions directly before the Commission.
After Hyderabad, the 8th Pay Commission will also hold separate meetings in cities of other states and union territories including Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
The Central Government has asked the Commission to submit a report with its recommendations within 18 months of the issuance of the Terms of Reference (ToR). If it takes more time to prepare the final report, the Commission can also present an interim report.
Government employees and pensioners are constantly keeping an eye on the recommendations of this commission, because it is possible that there may be changes in their salary, pension and allowances.
