Tezzbuzz Desk- In today’s time, cases like cyber fraud and digital arrest are increasing rapidly. Fraudsters have now started scaring people by pretending to be officers of CBI, police or other government agencies. To protect people from such cyber crimes, Central Bureau of Investigation i.e. CBI had launched AI Powered Chatbot named ‘ABHAY’ some time ago. This chatbot has been specially designed to check CBI notices and make people aware.
ABHAY is an AI based helpbot launched by CBI to protect citizens from fake notices and digital arrest scams. With its help, people can check whether any notice they have received is genuine or fake. According to CBI, this system works to alert people about new methods of cyber criminals and to provide correct information.
CBI said that cyber fraud is increasing rapidly in India and it has become a big challenge for the criminal justice system. Due to Artificial Intelligence, Deepfake and advanced technology, it has now become very difficult for common people to differentiate between real and fake notices. For this reason, ABHAY AI Chatbot was launched so that people can easily identify fraud.
In digital arrest scam, fraudsters scare people by pretending to be officers of CBI, police or any investigating agency. After this, fake notices are sent to them and they are kept under video call or online surveillance. CBI has clarified that there is no legal provision like ‘digital arrest’ in Indian law. If any person or agency threatens you with digital arrest, then understand that it is a fraud.
This chatbot helps citizens to check CBI notices. Tells the difference between fake notice and real notice. Provides important information to cyber fraud and warns against scams like digital arrest.
If you want to use ABHAY AI Chatbot, then go to the official website of CBI and then click on the ABHAY banner visible on the homepage of the website. After this a new page will open where you can get notice verification and necessary information.
CBI has appealed to the people not to trust anything like digital arrest. Do not transfer money in the name of security or verification. Report any suspicious call or notice immediately. If such a fraud happens to you, immediately file a complaint on the National Cyber Crime Portal or call the helpline number 1930.
CBI’s ABHAY AI chatbot is being considered a big step towards making people aware and protecting them from cyber crime.
