The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ramping up its organizational efforts in anticipation of the Uttarakhand assembly elections scheduled for 2027. National President Nitin Nabin will embark on a two-day visit to Uttarakhand on May 29 and 30 to assess the functioning of the state government and party machinery. This visit aims to conduct a thorough evaluation of the party's performance in the state, focusing on strategies to reclaim lost assembly seats and enhance grassroots booth management.
State BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt informed that all arrangements for Nabin's visit have been finalized, with several events planned from his arrival at the airport to the party headquarters. He mentioned that the national president will provide essential guidance to party workers and leadership ahead of the elections, instructing the entire organizational structure of the state to shift into election mode immediately.
Meanwhile, Nabin convened a meeting of the core committee of the Odisha BJP at the state headquarters in Bhubaneswar today. The meeting was attended by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida, BJP State President Manmohan Samal, and other senior leaders. Currently, Nabin is on a two-day organizational tour in Odisha. Regarding this visit, Odisha BJP unit president Manmohan Samal stated that they will hold the core committee meeting at 8:30 AM on Monday, followed by a district-level training workshop at 10:00 AM, where leaders will provide training and guidance to district workers.
Samal further explained that the purpose of this tour is to empower local leadership ahead of the upcoming panchayat elections. He noted that plans for the panchayat elections will be developed at the local level, with suggestions formulated based on consultations with these leaders and their experiences, which will be adopted by the Odisha state party unit.
