The Telugu comedy thriller Jetlee, starring comedian Satya in a key role, is all set for its digital release after completing its theatrical run earlier this month. The film, which mixes action, comedy and suspense inside the confined setting of an aircraft, is now moving to streaming platforms after a short and underwhelming box office run.
JioHotstar shared a promotional update describing the film as a “mad, turbulent ride,” pointing to its chaotic in-flight storyline. The announcement has created some renewed interest around the film as it prepares for its second life on digital platforms.
Jetlee will be available exclusively on JioHotstar. Subscribers of the platform will be able to stream the film starting May 25, 2026. As of now, there is no confirmed information about dubbed versions or multi-language streaming availability.
Now, with its OTT release, the film will be hoping for a better response from home viewers who often engage differently with comedy-based thrillers.
Jetlee is set almost entirely inside a passenger aircraft named SwingFisher 6EB1CH. The story revolves around a high-risk situation where a fugitive billionaire is being transported on the flight. Things spiral into chaos when mercenaries and covert agents become involved mid-air.
At the same time, a special agent struggles to maintain control of the situation while another mysterious man wakes up inside the aircraft with no memory and a hidden connection to the unfolding events. This mix of confusion, action and comedy forms the core of the film’s narrative.
Directed by Ritesh Rana, the story and screenplay were jointly developed by Ritesh Rana and Jeyendhra Aerrola. Rana also handled the dialogues. The film was produced under Clap Entertainment and presented by Mythri Movie Makers.
The technical team includes music composer Kaala Bhairava, cinematographer Suresh Sarangam, and editor Karthika Srinivas. Teja R worked on costume design and styling, while Narni Srinivas handled production design. Action sequences were choreographed by Wing Chun Anji.
